Beer Bottle Bucket Lamp By Stephen

“You can’t wait for inspiration, you have to go after it with a club” – Jack London

I’m always surprised to see the creativity that comes from our readers. We received this photo from Stephen and he shared with us his inspiration:

“This latest idea came to me as a result of folks having summer fun at the beach or lakeside gatherings. Always a cooler or bucket full of iced down brews on hand. I thought it would make a nice barlamp if done right! And the good thing about it is one can simply add his or her own favorite flavor in a few seconds!

The lamp is constructed from a small craft sized buckets with a small hole drilled in the rear. Always rim the hole with a rubber grommet for protection. Add a 25 watt under the counter halogen light with the base glued down for stability.
I use a clear glass saucer that slips down half way in the bucket to prevent any of the fake ice crystals from falling too far inside. Add your favorite brewskis and fake ice.

The cord requires a switch and plug.

That’s it! Enjoy!

What catches my eye is how ‘real’ this actually looks. The ice crystals and actual bottles of beer make the whole package come to life. Restaurants and bars are always selling ‘a bucket of beer special‘. Doesn’t this look like something that they would offer?

The club has just found Inspiration!

We want to thank Stephen for sending us his latest bottle lamp project.

  1. Hey Nick,
Just a heads up info, the blue wine bottle lamp with lights inside isn’t mine!
I never use lights inside and try to remain to the realism of the brews.
Just saying ! But otherwise its a great article Thanks, Steve Collins scollins50@tds.net

    1. Steve,

Thank you for pointing that out. I was previewing the post before I published it and the blue bottle with lights is another Steve altogether. I was trying to differentiate both of you by referring to him as Steve and you as Stephen.

      Sorry for the confusion.
