Liquor Bottle Lamps by Chuck

Last night we received several different emails from Chuck in Sloan, Iowa, with pictures of a total of seven different Bottle Lamps.

He used a Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey bottle, a Rumple Minze bottle with filler, a Crown Royal, two different Jack Daniel’s bottles, a Patron Tequila bottle and a Mason Jar filled with Potpourri.

Chuck said in his email, “I received your newsletter asking for pictures of my projects. I saw your video on YouTube and decided to try making my own lamp. Pictured are the first four lamps. I felt very good after completing them. Thank you for your video and the newsletters.”

A little while later we received another email :) “Here are a few more pictures of more lamps I have created using your E book information. Thank you so much for your guidance.”

  1. Besides adding a nice touch and feel to any bottle lamp, bottle fillers like the gold sand Chuck used in his Rumple Minze and the glass pebbles in the Jack Daniels bottles, gives them stability and extra weight. This way you don’t have to worry about the lamp being top heavy and toppling over.

    1. Ronny,

Who knew there would be a second life after the bottle was empty? My wife and I are hoping to make it back to her hometown of Schweinfurt for Christmas this year.

Let us know if you decide to try and make a bottle lamp. We’ll put it up on our ‘DIY Show Off’ page. :)

  2. Love the lampshades you used, as they aren’t too small, like many I’ve seen. What size did you use, and where did you find them?

  3. I really like the size of the lampshades you used. So many I see are too little! Where did you find the lampshades?

    1. Patty,

Hello. I’m not answering for Chuck but I thought I would jump in and mention a few of the places that we got ours. Wal-mart and World Market have nice selection and they are priced right. If you wanted to look at a larger selection you might find something on-line.
