    1. Thanks for the tip Tamara, I’ll take a look around to see what I can find. Do you have a specific theme in mind?

  1. I’m impressed, I have to say. Actually hardly ever do I encounter a weblog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me inform you, you may have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is outstanding.

  2. Thanks Brendan, we appreciate your kind words. Make sure you sign up for our eBook if you want to make your own bottle lamps. Btw, our chalk board bottles are on sale right now (save 22%) just in time for Mother’s Day. :)

  3. wow!!!! im very impressed and i want to try to make a couple myself now. where did u get the white chips that u put inside and did u fill the whole bottle up too? did it interfere with how the lights were posistioned inside ?

    1. Hi Randy, We’re glad you like what you see and that you’re ready to give bottle drilling a go yourself. It’s a fun hobby to have. The white chips we use inside some of our bottles is called crystal fill. We fill up the whole bottle and it doesn’t interfere with the position of the light strings.
You can get crystal fill at your local craft store. We also have a link to purchase them online in our free eBook, click this link to learn more: https://www.bottle-lamp.com/diy-bottle-lamp-ebook/. You will also receive our Newsletter with additional tips and updates.

  4. My fiance made a lamp from a Jack bottle and it was fascinating to see it’s completeness. However, he could not remember how he made it..lol I am going to surprise him and make two of them for him as a wedding gift to give to him on our wedding day. Thank you so very much for the teaching. Sincerely, Rachel

  5. Thank you for all of your helpful advice! I’m just starting to make some bottles and wanted to ask if the ‘message on the bottle’ labels are sold? If not, can you suggest on how best to make these labels?

    Kind regards,

    Mike

  6. Great site, have thought about bottle crafts for a long time. I now have an endless supply of bottles set up, so here we go! Local coffee drive thru, I noticed that some bottles have side seams, so not to sure if these will separate correctly, the only way to find out is to try a few. Thanks again for all the creative ideas for bottles.
