Lighted Bottles by Jessie

These themed bottles with lights by Jessie are wonderfully unique!

We have been crazily busy this last week and overlooked this email sent in by Jessie.

Hi Nick, Thanks for the great youtube video on drilling the wine bottles. I started a couple months ago making some lights and my sweet husband was drilling the holes. He progressed to a drill press but was having not much luck until your video. We bought the diamond drill bit and plumbers putty and wow! What a difference!

I was looking at your bottles and they are gorgeous :0) Here’s a couple of pics of mine. I am taking them to my first craft show this weekend, so we will see how it goes :} Thanks again!!

Jessie, your lighted bottles look absolutely stunning.

We love your unique decorating style, instead of filling the bottles with glass marbles you attached them to the outside. Very clever! :) How was your first craft show? We are sure you sold many of your fantastic bottles.

  1. I really like the themes that you did with these bottles. The flags make the message even more direct. Well done! What did you use to attach the beads to the outside of the bottle?

    1. Thanks so much for posting and the great comments! I use a hot glue gun to attach the beads and so far I have not had any problems.I went to a small sale today and did ok, Monday is a larger one, and that’s the one I’m hoping to do well at! Love your site and thank you again :)

    1. Thanks so much Patty :) The show was an eye-opener. I sold a few bottles, received a ton of compliments, but the thing that happened alot was people oohed and aahed, took pictures of them then walked away. I’m guessing they will be making duplicates shortly! That kind of took me by surprise. Any way I am now going to stay away from those craft shows and have been reading the great article by Nick and Silke about listing on Etsy. That might be the next place for me!

  2. Cool. Let us know when you have your Etsy store set up and we will check it out. :) We just sold a Seagram’s 7 bottle lamp posted in our store today. Etsy is a lot of fun and you will meet lots of like-minded folks. Good luck!

  3. Well I did it! My Etsy store is officially open! It’s called BottlesBeGlowing and any helpful hints will be appreciated! :)
