Aladdin Bottle Lamp by Jessie

We are so excited for Jessie, she sold her first lighted bottle on Etsy. Way to go Jessie!

Jessie sent us an email with a picture of this beautiful Aladdin themed bottle.

Here is what she said: “I was thrilled with my first sale. It was sold Friday night, had it shipped out Sat morning, and on tracking it showed the buyer received it Monday morning. Here is one of my latest bottles. I discovered, frying the glass gems, then placing them in cold water. They shatter inside causing a striking effect when the bottle is lit. Thanks for all you do, absolutely love your DYI videos by the way. They have so much info, they are great!”

Now I don’t know about you, but I never heard of “frying glass” before so I asked Jessie if it’s alright for us to share her ‘secret method’.

“Post all you want on the “frying” secret. When I’m frying them, my husband always comments and asks what’s cooking? Something smells good! lol I got the idea from a guy here who works in glass and tile outside on patios, he saw my bottles and really liked them and came in another day and explained the process and thought it might be a neat thing to try. I really love the effect. I have finished another one that I think looks nicer than the one I sent you. I love making them, it’s my relaxation in the evening. :)”

And we love receiving pictures of your bottles! As long as you keep sending us photos of your stunning bottles, we will share them with our readers.
